The term ‘yoga’ refers to a physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in Ancient India over 5000 years ago. It is recognised in modern society as a comprehensive system for healing and personal development as it includes postures and movement, breath awareness and breathing exercises, relaxation, concentration, meditation, positive thinking and the mastery of the mind.
Yoga is an approach to life that values appropriate effort, based on balance and harmony, within each person and with each other. Over the past few decades, yoga has become more widely recognised for both adults and children as a means to increase flexibility, strength and tone the body as well as reduce stress, increase rest, relaxation and overall happiness and joy.
Children of all ages and abilities can benefit for the regular practice of yoga, as it provides children with an outlet to learn important skills that can remain with them their whole lives.
Our ‘Inner Bliss Kids Yoga’ lessons promote the development of inner calm and strength, creativity, balance, resilience, compassion, empathy and confidence within themselves and amongst others.
